Does the centre provide snacks and/or lunches?
The center provides two snacks each day. A hot lunch program is optional for $3.00 (except at the school-age site). All meals and snacks meet Manitoba Early Learning and Child Care AND Canada Food Guide criteria. Taché Community Day Care is a peanut-free facility. A menu is available at both locations and online.

Does my child have to nap?
No. We have a group of "nappers" and a group of "non-nappers". When deciding what
is best for your child in regards to napping, please remember that the environment here is different from the environment at home.

Does my child have to go outside if they
are sick?

If your child is too sick to go outside they are too sick to be at the center.


Does the centre have different hours for holidays?
The center is closed for all statutory holidays. The center will let parents know about
possible additional days (ie. Christmas).

Do I have to participate in fundraising?
All parents are responsible to raise $100.00 in profit for the first child and $50.00 in profit for
each additional child. Parents not wishing to participate in fundraising events can opt out by
making a monetary donation of equivalent value.

When can my child return to the centre
after he or she is sick?

Your child may, typically, return to the center after being without symptoms for 24 hours. For clarification refer to Taché Community Day Care's Parent Policy Manual.
